My first Shell Daze in the books! Hopped on the bike and just went down the street to check out the Shell Daze festival. This to me is the official kick-off of festival season and the first of 3 festivals I'll be photographing on consecutive weekends. I was able to catch The Last Revel and Molly Tuttle before having to head out. Molly Tuttle I first got interested in cause she did a cover of Fake Empire by the National. That just scratched the surface of her talent and I was happy I got to experience over an hour of her awesome Americana sound. The Last Revel I had never seen live but thats the great thing about music festivals is hearing bands you haven't heard before. They had a Americana/Indie Rock vibe I found mesmerizing.
Old Crow Medicine show played that night as well but I had to miss it unfortunately. Shell Daze Day 2 is happening over at the New Daisy tonight so if you have the means go check it out! @memphopresents never fails to put on a good time and tonight will be no different.
